Table of numbers to test bug

Problem description:

Using a colour scale as conditional formatting and saving the document as .xlsx, the formatting is lost when reopening the document.
This same problem with .xls is known as this format doesn't support color scales anyway.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a table of numbers in Calc
2. Select all the numbers
3. Format > Conditional formatting > Add > All cells, color scale (2 entries) > OK. Conditionnal formatting appears.
4. Save in xlsx format
5. Open the document: the conditional formatting has disappeared.

Current behaviour:

Colour scales are not saved in .xlsx documents

Expected behaviour:

This should be saved in .xlsx documents as this format supports colour scales.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 3.6.4.3 release

Please don't add your own bugs to MAB, it is against policy. Also, UNCONFIRMED bugs don't belong on the list. QA will add the bug to MAB if we find it appropriate, we will also confirm the bug. Thank you

A related bug (and a discussion concerning opening this bug) can be found there: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48360

This should be tested in 4.0 too (I don't have the time right now).

Sorry about that, Joel. I got a bit carried away with this one.

Confirmed on 3.6.4.3 but it's fine in Version 4.1.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 9601a571d42b0199bdccf2256fc8be82e14af8a

Adding Markus:

Markus - should this be closed as FIXED as it's solved in 4.1 master branch or you want to take a look at it still and get the fix on 3.6 branch?
Comment 6 Markus Mohrhard 2013-02-20 22:12:03 UTC
If fixed in 4.0 I will not take any actions. 3.6 is nearing its last release and there is most likely a bigger rework necessary if it is not yet working out of the box. Normally simple color scales should have worked in 3.6 but there were some problems with the handling of extLst entries that were and still are causing problems.

Sadly what has to be written into ext entries is undocumented and all I know about them (which is nearly nothing after implementing Icon Sets) has been proven more or less wrong.
Comment 7 Markus Mohrhard 2013-06-29 01:01:43 UTC
I'm sorry but there will be no fix for this bug in 3.6. The necessary code changes are too large and too risky.

The bug is fixed in 4.0 and 4.1.
