toolbar to the chips in Writer

In Draw and Impress Is it possible to add a toolbar to the chips that would be similar to Writer.
It is very effective, it can quickly rearrange the order of entries or level shifting

advance a big thank you.

sorry for poor English

Valid enhancement request. marking as NEW

Please note that enhancements are almost entirely handled by volunteers - if a volunteer thinks that this is interesting, they will implement it, else it will not be implemented. I am only saying it's a valid request, not that it will necessarily be implemented (that's up to those with the skills to implement it) :) Thanks!

Agreed. However, bullets and numbering seems not to be fully supported yet (cf. tdf#92170 and 63834).

In impress, the text formatting toolbar, the sidebar paragraph content panel and outline view have 4 outline rearrangement buttons (demote, promote, move down, move up), so this seems to be WFM.

You are right, the text formatting toolbar shows up in edit mode. However, there is no alternative workflow via main menu for instance. And apparently the text format is not a property of the container (text frame or shape), which I would have expected, since the toolbar is activated only in edit mode. Still WFM?

Once the menus get reorganized in Draw, it will be there, just like its there in Impress (Format > Lists > Bullets On/Off).

Didnt follow what you meant here, but manually created bullets dont work correctly in textboxes or shapes (bug 83659).

Using:

Version: 7.1.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: 8700bace8c0714d853f5df6918ab9c8bb3d81f77
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 20197; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: CL

Format > Lists > Bullets will toggle a text box's paragraphs on and off (and for numbering) when outside of the text box

These comments are therefore no longer true:

since the toolbar is activated only in edit mode
there is no alternative workflow via main menu

User can be done editing, and as long as the text box is selected, can toggle numbers and bullets from the Format menu as well as from the Properties sidebar.

You can toggle lists and numbers off and on, but promoting and demoting still require the desired content to be selected while editing the contents of a text box (which makes total sense sense).
