Yep, looks similar. But I vote for similar interface to similar action in each component of LO. You're right. But. Calc is fine and Bug 36117 is about Writer. So, either close this as a duplicate and monitor that bug, or wait someone else to confirm this is different. (In reply to Timur from comment #5) > You're right. But. No, bug 36117 is about vertically centered text (you want the text in the middle of the page), and this one is about vertically writing. Best regards. JBF I disagree. Here is a copy of my comment in bug 93040 (https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93040#c4) There is a more general purpose way to add text vertically written in a text document, use text boxes (there is an icon in the standard toolbar of LO 5). Using text boxes allows you to solve the problem of the text flow, mixing horizontal and vertical text in the same page. You do not have this problem in Calc where you can't mix horizontal and vertical text in the same cell. From that point of view, each cell in a spreadsheet is a text box. From that point of view, we have exactly the same features in Writer and Calc to write text vertically. Closing as WorksForMe. Best regards. JBF |
