Hi Susan, Th panel is collapsible and hideable and can be made smaller.. SO I change this issue to an enhancement for the icons on the toolbar. Thanks. Created attachment 116281 [details] screenshot of LO Writer in "edit" mode with author's current project The Navigator toolbar has 17 buttons I never use and one that I do. I wish I could get rid of some of the buttons, and make the ones that remain take up one line. I'm sending an attachment that shows what a typical screen looks like for me.
