Hello,

Users often import data from CSV files and the like, and numbers sometimes start with an apostrophe so that they are handled as strings, for example:
'123
'456
'789

LibreOffice users frequently want to convert those items into numbers, but there is no easy, intuitive way to do so:
- https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=49046
- https://jaisejames.wordpress.com/2013/01/02/remove-apostrophe-used-for-text-formatted-number-in-libreoffice/

In Microsoft Excel, there is a very easy way to convert strings to numbers:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/291047

Please add a similar "Convert to Number" menu item to LibreOffice.

Thanks!
