I used http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/mimeview.html to see if the correct mimetypes were installed. They were not installed at all. Uploading doc, docx via a form by using enctype="multipart/form-data gives this kind of file application/octet-stream as mimetype

basically you ask that at installation/upgrade LibO automatically assign itself to the system as default application for doc and docx files, right?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information requested.
