Description Moritz Moeller-Herrmann 2015-02-04 09:13:50 UTC
In Writer (and in Microsoft Office) it is possible to move a paragraph up and down with a key press of CRTL+ALT+Move up/down.

This works fine on normal text paragraphs.

However, in tables, where this is extremely useful, the key does not move the current table row up or down. This works in Microsoft Office and it really makes it difficult to quickly rearrange table rows in a text table in Writer.

Setting to enhancement and NEW.

Moritz: bug 49258 is quite similar. Would you like to resolve this as duplicate of it and add a comment there about your wish?

Hi, unfortunately, it is still impossible to move table lines as one would move other text lines. It is very simple to arrange text lines by moving lines up and down with CTRL ALT Up/Down. This does work consistently in Libre Office Writer and Microsoft Word. However, it does not work in tables in Writer, only in Word. I consider this a bug...

This is not a bug, but an enhancement request as I noted in 2015.

This inconsistency in handling text moves between tables and normal text, which some call an "enhancement" and which I still consider to be a bug, is not fixed yet in libereoffice 7.3.3
