Extended Recent Documents using History Master
Shows an extended Recent Documents list, with scroll arrows and a "Clear List" option. Ideally, "Clear List" should be replaced with "Manage List", with options to create bookmark type sublists, pin files to the list, delete files from the list (with a purge option to delete the files themselves rather than just the list pointer entry). Clearing the entire list would be an extreme option requiring confirmation, to avoid undoing a lot of work. IMHO this is vastly superior to the present Start offering.
I should point out that I tried to re-install the HistoryMaster Add-in, and re-downloaded it to verify that .xpi hadn't become corrupted. looks like this is not a bug report but an enhancement request Sounds like a valid enhancement request. Note the fact in upcoming LibreOffice 4.3 you can selectively delete recent documents (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.3#Start_Center_improvements). Kind regards, Jorenhttps://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.3#Start_Center_improvements I am currently using 5.2.0.4 under Win 7. This seems to have allowed the recent files list to expand to 100 entries: however, after I reached that the list may have cleared automatically (I can't be 100% certain - only 99% certain that I didn't accidentally select "Clear list" - an option that really should be guarded with an "Are you sure?" box with "No" the preselected option). Moreover, since that happened, I'm finding that the recent files list is not being updated in a consistent manner with the files I've opened, and even renamed and saved. They are simply not appearing much of the time. I am unable to deduce what distinguishes when a file is being added to the list, and when it isn't. *** Bug 159097 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
