With this new version the legend frame in a chart is empty.

I can reproduce this behaviour. It seems, that there is a problem with the stacking order of the text and legend background.

I'm using a LibreOffice 4.2.0.4 on a Windows XP system. To reproduce the problem use the following steps:

- open a new Calc sheet
- type in some random numbers to make a diagram
- mark the entered numbers and start diagram assistant
- accept default values
- edit the options of the legend
- set the fill color to white
--> the text and symbols of the legend are not longer visible.

Thanks for this report.
However, this has been previously reported in bug 72005. This is now fixed and available for master and LO 4.2.1.
