Uau.. really sorry it has taken so long for anybody to look at this bug. I think it is a valid request - at least variant "b" should not be hard to implement. No worries, I appreciate you taking it up! And sorry it took so long to reply. Adding needsUXEval to give the UX and design team work. :) Please only keep the applicable meta bug or add a new applicable one after finding a decision. We discussed this in the design meeting. It sounds like a lot of effort for a limited number of users. Some open questions remain: + what happens at document end? activate the direct cursor mode? + what on jump via Navigator + what if the position is occupied by an object? LibreOffice is just not a text editor but an office suite. Perhaps the special solution is better done per extension. Feel free to reopen the request. |
