Description bugquestcontri 2013-05-26 11:55:59 UTC
Problem description:

When more than one person works on a spreadsheet it is necessary to understand who inserted or modified each comment.

Enhancement
Please add the possibility to automatically have the initials of the author of the comment.entered at the beginning of the cell text, followed by a colon and position the cursor at the beginning of the next line.
If a another author changes the comment, the initials of the other author should be added automatically.

Ideally also date and time should be added automatically.

Operating System: Windows XP
Version: 4.0.3.3 release

Valid enhancement request.

@dev who would like to work on this one: I recommend to pass the UX-advice first.

Kind regards,
Joren

In Bug 73537 we opted for a slightly different solution: Instead of adding the authorship metadata as an editable text into the comment, we now show it in the popup when hovering over a cell with a comment.
