Description Kumāra 2013-01-23 09:08:15 UTC
This is a very old Lotus WordPro feature that I love and miss. In case the summary isn't clear enough, let me explain.

Say you have a table with 4 columns. You decide that the 2nd column is better placed as the last. As it is now, you would have to create a column to the right of the 4th, copy the content of column 2, paste it in column 5, then delete the empty column 2. And, oh, you probably would also have fixed the now messed up column widths!

With this feature, it's just a matter of pressing Alt-RightArrorKey twice. That's it.

This should also work for rows in tables and paragraphs (which include numbering/bullet lists).

It's a very elegant feature.

I'm surprised no one is interested in this one. :-(
It's a great (and cool) time-saver, you know?

Adding needsUXEval to have some discussion about it. Maybe something similar is already planned or maybe this is obsolete because since 2014 many changes were implemented.

Started from Navigator Promote/Demote feature and stumbled over the existing function: ctrl+alt+up/down does the trick (move up/down). Works perfectly WordPro-ish for me.
