I couldn't find it, so I decided to post it here. I know that Bugzilla is an issue tracker rather than a bug tracker exclusively, despite the misleading name. The fact you had to create a custom front end reveals the horror of Bugzilla, this is why new projects should always use The Bug Genie instead of such ancient, unusable and user-hostile solutions! I'm quite certain most programmers, too, dislike Bugzilla.

Anyway, I would be most pleased were functionality that would allow a cumulative word count to placed on the bottom of, perchance, the last page. By this I mean a word count of all the words on the page being inserted and updated automatically as one types.

It would also be nice if a per-page word count that would increase from page-to-page (hence the title of this bug report) would be added, though this does not bother me too much, as I have only ever had a single use case for that.

Of course, I'd assume this would be generic and could be anywhere on the page, such being the case often programming, but the intended use case would be in the footer.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. Currently you can go to Insert-> Fields -> Other and in the Documents bar, select Words, then Insert. That will give you the current cumulative word count, but not page-by-page. You could also use the word count tool to manually update the word count, but it cannot be automatically updated. I could see how this feature would be an advantage.

I will select this as a NEW, ENHANCEMENT for the development team to consider. Thank you!

Changing priority back to 'medium' since the number of duplicates is lower than 5
