Description Tom Colley 2012-09-28 01:54:51 UTC
I imagine many users who use the autofilter functionality of Calc would like to be able to toggle the filter on and off, without losing the specification of the filter. Currently, if the "Standard Filter" option is used to specify two or more filter conditions, such toggling is not possible. The specification is lost once the user returns to viewing the unfiltered dataset.

This enhancement would allow users to quickly see filtered results in and out of their context with the unfiltered dataset. Most useful for investigative analyses.

I can confirm this behavior/missing possibility in
Version 4.0.0.0.beta2 (Build ID: 4104d660979c57e1160b5135634f732918460a0)
on Ubuntu 12.04 (x86)

Enhancement, marked as NEW, as the function is not implemented at the moment

would be a very nice enhancement ...

tried to build similar with a macro, blocked by '.field'-values messed up by calc with wrong 'table:orientation' attributes and reliable coding not possible :-(

i'm curious about the use / functionality of 'Hide Autofilter' in [data - more filters], couldn't find a hint on that, just one comment that another user would like to know that as well ...

Still not possible in:

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: de7356c2e0cb099fac396808b5a86a0393b48e5f
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2021-06-14_22:38:17
Calc: threaded

Steps to reproduce:

1. Activate autofilter on a table
2. Use "Standard Filter..." in one column's autofilter dropdown to setup some rules
3. Click "Clear filter" on that column
4. Go back to "Standard Filter..."

Results: the previously defined rules cannot be restored. They must be defined from scratch.
