Thanks for new idea May be I not understand problem: Database should not allow attach pictures if they exceed specified size. And when users see that size is too big, they will reduce size of images? It's right. When creating tables there are many ways to set character-length to varchar-fileds and other fileds. But there ist no way to set max-value for pictures. There is only one way to put pictures in a table - controlfields in a form. There should be a possibiltity to set the max-value like it is in other fields of the form. The user should see a popup when the picture is bigger than max-value. So he can reduce the size of the picture. Example: database for a scool. Pictures of all students are in the database. Pictures where shot with digicam 12 MP. The database will immediately blow up to more than 1 GB. Pictures are only used at the pc-monitor and for very little pictures (passport photo). Could also be a good idea to reduce the pictures to the max-value, when the size is bigger. But I dont know if there is any function in LibreOffice which works like that from ImageMagic. Thanks for explanation. Adding self to CC if not already on |
