I agree, this should be improved. Can we reduce your request to "Do not show Progress Bar for Autosave action predictable shorter 2 seconds"? There might be a little problem, as far as I know a document can not be edited during Autosave, and may be other people want to see the progress bar for information. So may be this might be an Accessibility request for an option. I suppose that would work. If it’s an option, though, it should certainly be on by default (that is, progress bar for autosave should be hidden by default). I believe that has been inherited from OOo, but I did not check. Seems to be impossible to predict performance. Asking design team for their opinion It's not the prediction of progress but the actual time on task. Usually a progress bar shows up when operations take longer than 500ms (2s without feedback is quite a while). Just keep it hidden before. |
