to replicate
1) Open Writer or Calc using gnome menu
2) call this command: libreoffice3.4 --convert-to pdf myfile.doc
3) nothing will happen, as if having the GUI open interrupted the execution of the command.

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back

I'm seeing the same issue.

When a GUI instance of LO is running, the convert-to CLI command fails to execute - and usually spawns another GUI window.  This occurs with other CLI commands as well, such as --print-to-file.

(Ubuntu 11.10 x86_64)
