No, it isn't strange at all. [This is an automated message.] This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases. Therefore it is natural, that it opened in Draw. But my be useful to add functionality to convert PDF to Writer document or Draw document to Writer document. Transform this bugreport to functionality request. Isn't this basically the PDF Import which has been included since LO 3.3? This allows you to import pdf to writer. I don't see a need to automatically open it in writer as Sasha points out that draw is the appropriate software to open pdf's in general. I'm going to mark this as NEEDINFO, if there is a compelling reason that this isn't taken care of by PDF Import I'll mark as new, else I'll probably move to WILLNOTFIX in the coming weeks Dear bug submitter!
