Here is another useful utilization for function Refresh Screen: debugging. There exist much bugs, that impact on responsibility (how fast it responses, I can not find appropriate term) of interface. They slows down interface that it is hard to work with program. But if we have done something, that can impact on responsibility (how fast it responses), it is my be hard to understand, if situation really changed and how much. I propose add small window that appears after Refresh Screen was pressed and all on screen repainted. This window should appear on few second and show, how much time taken to repaint screen (including part of document on screen). For example: 2.48 sec. This would alleviate finding and fixing bugs of this type. This seems like an ugly workaround for a bug that is not ours. |
