Description jeffreyreed895@gmail.com 2024-03-13 16:53:54 UTC
Description:
Hi, I am using Libre Office 24.2 on a mac mini m2. I have a writer file with 3 pages. I have used the tools/customize menu to create a NEXT ELEMENT. - command plus 6. this works to cycle through the 3 page This is what I did. 1) I searched the shortcut keys in customize/keyboard. To me it appears there is a dual role in this area. That is if you want to assign a short cut you do not want to overwrite a function. They (both shortcut and function ) appear in the same menu. Yes I am confused if NEXT EKEMENT is a shortcut or function, I also don't know what the difference would be when pressing command and 6?. That is Page 1, then page 2 then page 3 than Page 1 again. Works great! However when I create another document is does not do the same, it doesn't cycle. does not advance?

Steps to Reproduce:
1.This is what I did. 1) I searched the shortcut keys in customize/keyboard. To me it appears there is a dual role in this area. That is if you want to assign a short cut you do not want to overwrite a function. They (both shortcut and function ) appear in the same menu. 2) Try to use by pressing command and 6
3.It does not work on most files.odt.

Actual Results:
see above

Expected Results:
see above

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I am also running Command Post. https://commandpost.io/download/. I have a MIDI foot pedal {PACER by Nektar) sending Commmand (#) and 6 to LW. When #6 shortcut key works so does the MIDI controller and vise versa. I Have taken it out and I still have the same issue.

I did not reset My user password because it is an intermittent issue.

Some times #6 does nothing and sometimes it does not stop at page 2
Comment 4 Dieter 2024-04-07 11:09:02 UTC
I can't confirm it with

Version: 24.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 5ebdcc60701ca5f2d267f92fa69ac06202309c52
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL threaded

The command works in every document

Additional information
"next element" is a function (a command)
Strg+6 is you shortkey to execute this function/command

Thank you Dieter for your efforts. I understand why you could not confirm, I believe. I got the issue "almost" resolved by adjusting the size to be undersized. I say "almost" because it doesn't seem to be an appropriate parameter to effect the process. I did this on a Mac Mini M2 running Sonoma. I don't think it is a Mac issue only but it could be. I have successfully gotten 10 files to work. I don't know if it is worth any additional effort. I have 40 more files to adjust and if I have another issue T will submit another bug report, or amend this, if I can find it. Thank you for your help Jeff Reed
