I can see "Edit section..." in the context menu when right-clicking inside the section: Version: 24.2.0.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: b1fd3a6f0759c6f806568e15c957f97194bbec8f CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Can also be done in the Navigator: right-click > Edit... Can you please test again, or provide more details? (In reply to Theppitak Karoonboonyanan from comment #0) > "Want to keep a part of an editable document as read-only? Insert ▸ Section, > "with “Protect” checked. Then you can start adding text to the section." That wouldn't work, as the section wouldn't accept edits. (In reply to Stéphane Guillou (stragu) from comment #1) > I can see "Edit section..." in the context menu when right-clicking inside > the section: Ah, yes, I can now find it, too. I must have right-clicked on the wrong paragraph when trying. (It must be the empty paragraph after the inserted section!) So, the tip is already correct. Sorry for the false alarm. > Can also be done in the Navigator: right-click > Edit... Yes, I found this alternative, too. Just thought it took too many steps. > Can you please test again, or provide more details? Please close this bug as not-a-bug. Thanks. > (In reply to Theppitak Karoonboonyanan from comment #0) > > "Want to keep a part of an editable document as read-only? Insert ▸ Section, > > "with “Protect” checked. Then you can start adding text to the section." > That wouldn't work, as the section wouldn't accept edits. OK. It seems to be for a section with external contents. Also my wrong suggestion. |
