Tobias, please explain why Master document doesn't work for YouTube => NEEDINFO Hi Dieter, I'm sorry, I don't understand your comment, was it supposed to go on a different bug report? Tobias, are you familiar with master documents in Writer? If not, please read help about IT, because perhaps this could solve your problem. NEEDINFO A Calc 'document' has multiple independent sheets. A Writer document is a sequence of content that may make up multiple sheets or pages, but they're not independent. If anything, one might consider dropping Calc's support for multiple sheets in the same file (and perhaps also Draw's support for that), rather than adding the same to Writer. Eval said "If anything, one might consider dropping Calc's support for multiple sheets in the same file" I have many Calc documents with multiple sheets. Why on earth would you want to remove such a useful, nay necessary, feature? There are two related requests, one is bug 37134 for a Document-per-tab UI as implemented for Calc with sheets. The other is bug 33173 for single document with its sections/parts separated onto tabs, ala Word Pro. Both require similar work on the sw edit engine. But this is clearly the dupe of the first. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 37134 *** Bug 37134 is for having multiple FILES open in one window, on tabs. This is NOT what is implemented in Calc. Bug 33173 uses different language than me, taking about document 'sections' on tabs, but I think it's functionally the same as what I'm asking for, so I'm making this as a dupe of 33173 instead. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 33173 *** |
