I used Mail Merge using Lotus word pro on a PC and it worked like a dream. I could print out patient data onto a case history front page incorporating as many database fields as I needed placed where they were needed. What is the chance that future releases of the Libra suite could incorporate a more flexible mail merge system that could cope with letters and personalised documentation equally well?

There is no limit for database fields in a mail merge. Please describe a little more what you are doing and where you see the limitation.

You could also try to get a solution in https://ask.libreoffice.org/ .

Hi, This was intended to be a feature request but it seems such requests are treated as bugs.

I have had another look at the mail merge facility in writer and now see that it exists in a form I can cope with better. Perhaps the Mail Merge wizard could have a freeform option as well as the letter and email options.

I will put most of my issue down to a change in software which I am still learning.

Or is this your enhancement request? If yes, please follow Robert's comment 1 and describe a little more.
