Offset is not designed to change the current page number. Instead, it is designed to point to a page several pages before or after the current. As such, when there is no page that many pages from the current, there's nothing to show as its number. If you need to define the current page number, please use the paragraph properties, as explained at FAQ [1]. Closing NOTABUG.
