Writer status bar shown with windows side by side

When I show windows side by side, Calc status bar shows whole resize control, but
Writer does not.

If the most used controls can still be seen when showing windows side by side, it would be very helpful.
Just FYI, Tracey

They are. Status bar controls are prioritized, rather than the bar collapsing from right to left, each control's space is reduced first--then some are removed, and finally space allocated to some is reduced partially hiding. The Zoom controls are such.

Prioritization differs per module.

Don't see much need to further adjust as 1024px monitors are increasingly rare.

To amend Stuart's comment: all the information is relevant in Writer. If your style name would be "Foo" and the document is smaller all might fit on the screen. Respectively, changing Calc's page style to some ridiculous long name also breaks access to the zoom slider. Unlikely but possible.

In other words: whatever we do at some point the status bar is not large enough to show all information. Bug 113828 could be a solution for small screens (or actually smaller application windows when showing two side-by-side). Making this one a duplicate to keep track of your use cases.
