test file

- open the attached example
- select the image (not the frame)
- set its anchor to "as character"

result: the image is no longer visible

- try to undo

result: nothing happens -> the image keeps invisible.

Since similar things happen for other users as well, the image anchor seems to be a major bug in LO 7.0 -> setting severity.

There is a similar bug report: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135259 but the issue here was for me not in LO 6.4.

Repro

Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 6fb9f368c6824a8ff7bc5bc5cf66fc2df7d055b7
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_DK); UI: en-US
Calc: CL

Additional information.

1. The character before Figure had the "hidden" effect. I turned that off before setting anchor "as character", but same result.

2. The Image is still shown in the Navigator, but using right-click Edit does not give a dialog box. Using right-click Go to moves the cursor to the end of the paragraph in the footer.

I would call this NOTABUG. If the user is going to mess around with hidden characters, then they shouldn't be surprised if things get hidden.

I selected all (CTRL-A) inside the caption frame and changed the partial Hidden to none, then set image anchor to as-character and it was fine of course.
