Description:
I'm using LibreOffice 7.1.0.0.alpha0 in the China locale and finding a very strange bug. I'll try to be as clear as possible in the description.
In the Chinese layout, using Pinyin guide and setting offset > 0 will result in incomplete Pinyin display

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new word document, Adds phonetic text above the selected text to indicate its pronunciation
2.save it as docx, and then close the document
3.Open with Lo, The Pinyin added above the selected text is missing

Actual Results:
The Pinyin added above the selected text is missing

Actual Results:
The Pinyin added above the selected text needs to be displayed completely

Reproducible:
Always

As far as I can see, LibreOffice's "Asian phonetic guide" feature doesn't have an "offset" parameter.

And my reading of the StR in comment #0 is that the file was created in MS Word, and displayed wrong when opened in LO, i.e. an DOCX import issue.

So... back to UNCONFIRMED?

I can reproduce the wrong display in LO 7.2.0 alpha0+ using attached DOCX file:
Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 722ec600e85cca2e94e82e69f8d13773061172b9
CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: zh-CN (zh_CN); UI: zh-CN
Calc: threaded

I don't have MS Word to compare with, though. However looking at the screenshot in comment #2 the display problem is rather apparent for people familiar with this feature.

Sorry, I think, I've overseen the example file in comment 0. I can confirm the bug with attachment 162824 [details] and

Version: 7.1.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
