When I try to create a new document it crashes whatever the document is (text, worksheet, drawing or presentation). Same end for opening file.
This situation makes the app useless.
Version: latest Collabora Office beta from PlayStore
I can't test this, as I have no x64 Android device, but currently the app only supports ARM architecture. X86-based Android devices aren't particularly common. Getting the same error from a OnePlus 7 Pro (ARM), although only over remote server. No issues creating files locally. Created attachment 158359 [details]
Create New Document prompts
I'm having some issues with this also.
Using an Alatel AT&T phone.
First problem: can only create new files on local storage, can not create new odf files on Google Mydrive.
Second issue:
1 - launch app
2 - from the recent files screen touch the '+' icon lower right corner.
See the attached screenshot
3 - touch any the Text parts of those new file prompts (not the icon on the right):
New Spreadsheet, New Presentation, or New Text Document
results
The existing document the Text ... prompt is sitting over opens, instead of a new document.
Expected
A new document opens.
4 - from the new document prompts touch one of the icons instead of the text
results
A new document is created and opened.
There's been another update to Collabora Office (4.2.1), please check again to see if this bug is resolved. The issues when using a remote server is different from what was reported (which is a crash), if that persists, open a separate bug report. This should be fine now.
