Attachments: Animation pane with a single line per animation (pre 5.2 behavior)
Animation pane with two entries per animation (since 5.2)

Description Gizze 2019-04-01 16:03:21 UTC
Description:
There are two lines per animation in the animation pane: one giving the object name and another one giving the effect. When there are lots of animations on a slide it would give more overview if it were possible to suppress the effect type so that only the animation sequence is visible. This was the behavior in pre-5.2 versions. I suggest an option which allows to show or to hide the effect type.
(This was discussed in BUG 87813 earlier.)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add animation to any object on the slide.
2. See two lines per animation

Actual Results:
Two lines per animation effect: name of object and effect type.

Expected Results:
Optionally only a single line: only object type

Reproducible: Always

The modification was requested and done in bug 87813. I tend to agree with Gizze on the option.

We discussed the idea in the design meeting and agree with "[x] Show animation type" (default = on) in the context menu of the animations.

That sounds like a good solution. I am glad to see this suggestion accepted. Thanks!
