Description Kriton Kyrimis 2018-12-21 10:08:52 UTC
After upgrading to 6.2.0.1 from 6.1.4.2, the Firefox theme, that I had installed, stopped being used, and I had to reinstall it.

Hello,

For 6.2, themes feature has been improved significantly, and the underlying mechanism has changed, i.e. we no longer keep unnecessary info and we now keep more useful info about themes. Hence, themes installed prior to 6.2 are not compatible with 6.2, and they will need to be reinstalled.

Hi muhammet,
thanks for your comment.
Should it be mentioned in the release notes ?
Comment 3 Kriton Kyrimis 2018-12-21 17:44:00 UTC
If it is not mentioned in the release notes, I believe that it should: although it is trivial to reinstall a theme, it may not be so trivial to remember what the name of a theme that was installed years ago was. If one knows that the theme will be lost, one can make a note of its name before upgrading.

I am adding a subtitle to the release notes for "Personalization", and I'll also mention this. Thank you for reminding!

You are absolutely right! I'll add it to the release notes.

Nonetheless, the theme is not really lost, but it just becomes non-recognizable by LibreOffice. One can get the name from ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/gallery/personas (on Debian, but the path should be similar for other distros).

That's how I found the name of the theme I'd been using!!!
