Screenshot Mockup

Dear all,

I have difficulties to properly name my feature request.

However, from the attached screenshot it should become evident what I am requesting.

Has this feature be already requested before and do you consider it useful to have such a possibility to hide the top menu bar to allow the user to work in a more distraction-free environment?

Yours,

Robert

Like the idea--reduce clutter while working in any module, without loss of screen placement of shifting to Full Screen mode (i.e. <Ctrl><Shift>+j).

Much as the "hide"/"show" collapse of the Sidebar tabbar or deck, feature to collapse toolbars and main menu would be a nice enhancement. MUFFIN Notebookbar modes should probably honor it as well.

as it's very easy to switch now from one layout to another, I would recommand to define an distraction-free layout and solve it that way.

for Notebookbar it's not that usefull, cause have only the tabbs available help nobody. If you prefer to use an distraction-free mode (cause you write an assay and no master theses) than LibO can offer this with an e.g. menubar only layout.
