Can not reproduce on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (1607) en-US with Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 0f3861e65d8e652dcc31cf9a2f2b5c1a0a73b86d CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.2; UI Render: GL; Layout Engine: new; TinderBox: Win-x86@62-merge-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2016-11-19_23:33:29 Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL With a cleared/new user profile the Sidebar will open to the closed state. Clicking the Properties dialog will open the deck and its content panel to its full width. And, once a profile has been created--the stat of the sidebar decks is recorded into the profile. So any undersize width of deck is transient. I do see this with the new Page deck and content panels (bug 83830) which consistently cropping their controls on initial launch with a new profile. But they do retain full with in profile once set. Some content panels/decks can be adjusted narrower 'til they autoclose (Styles & Formatting, Gallery for example), others have established minimums that do not allow shrinkage narrower than the space needed for the controls. Created attachment 128901 [details] Screenshot of sidebar after first opening Properties I can somewhat reproduce this, not to the same extent, but a bit. Does that count as confirmation? Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: 02ec51c7e0bf9320b32ec73233ecaaf160448776 CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: GL; Layout Engine: new; Locale: hu-HU (hu_HU); Calc: CL @V Stuart Foote 1. For me the problem exist in every application (Impress/Writer/Calc/Draw) 2. It's isn't just the properties deck, page deck is also affected (with writer). With impress (Properties, Slide transition, Animation, navigator) 2. The size of the application window before opening the properties window doesn’t matter. For me it’s always heavily undersized. 3. Quiting and restarting LO won't fix it. 4. Manually widen the deck will fix it. I’m not able to go back to the undersized position. I have to correct the undersized position for each application individually In a broader perspective: When I shrink Writer Gallery to a small position and then switch to properties, the properties window will also affected Windows 8.0 Created attachment 128923 [details]
Impress Slide Pane
Slide Pane seems to be affected also
