Hi Miguel, I agree that this would be good to have. (Although personally I prefer to work with data sources for mail merge, since I usually make merges from the same sources.) Ciao - Cor Hi Cor, thanks for set up. I think having it in calc or with other task in writer, doesn't need modify the actual behavior for mail merge. Perhaps I was not clear enough, I refer to embed all kind of odb files not only those linked to spreadsheets as database. Specially in calc it can be invaluable, e.g. in an enterprise environment, avoiding to register the odb in every computer, so you can access everywhere to server data in a transparent way, only opening the ods file. Currently without macros there is no option to have sql queries in spreadsheets without the odb file, so having it embedded it's not the same but a good approximation. And I think except those having inner data, odb files only have a few Kb of size, so to increase the file should not be an issue.
