Description Alexander Wilms 2013-12-20 20:15:01 UTC
Problem description:
It's not possible to rename the short name of all occurrences of an bibliography entry at once

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click Insert > Indexes and Tables > Bibliography Entry
2. Choose 'From document content'
3. Click 'New' and fill in some info
4. Click 'OK'
5. Click 'Insert' twice
6. Open context menu on one of the inserted bibliography entry
7. Click 'Bibliography Entry'
8. Change short name
9. Click 'Modify'

Current behavior:
Only the selected short name has been changed and no additional entry should be shown in the bibliography

Expected behavior:
All should have been changed and there shouldn't be an additional entry in the bibliography

Operating System: All
Version: 4.1.0.4 release

Reproducible, probably inherited from OOo time.

Not sure if it is a bug. Indeed the short name plays a specific role as it is made clear by the edit dialog in which the short name entry is used to go through the bibliography list.

Best regards. JBF

I agree. I see reasons for the rename to apply to just a single bibliographic entry/reference as well as reasons for the rename to apply globally. Perhaps in an ideal world, one could select whether one wanted to apply the change globally or just to a single entry.
