Better description: highlighting with bullet points; the highlighting extends almost completely to the bullet point SET status to UNCONFIRMED as it need to be evaluated by a QA volunteer. (do not mark your own bug as NEW :-) ) OK, now I think I understand you. Could you please provide a simple test document (rather than a screenshot), so that we can investigate how the highlight is applied? I do not reproduce with a fresh document on 7.2 and master builds. Hi, just tried to recreate the bug myself. No go. Then I realised that it only occured after inserting an image and then starting a bullet point list. I'll attach the document Created attachment 176490 [details]

Reproducible on master build as of today, on Fedora 34 linux. Steps to Reproduce: 1. New Writer Document; 2. Type "ABC", then apply bullet to this paragraph; 3. Hit Enter, insert an image via "Insert > Image", set image as "No Wrap" via the toolbar button. Now you have a second bullet under the image. This is expected. 4. Type "DEF" in the second bullet, then highlight the text in this paragraph. Current Result: The highlight extends to the left the the text until the bullet "dot" symbol. Expected Result: Only the text is highlighted. Set to NEW, and "Platform" to ALL. Changed summary accordingly.
