Hi,

I searched for "format reference", but didn´t get a result when constraint to "Chart" component. Google merely showed that some people using Excel are looking for what I want, too.

Assume there are three cells defined (e.g. "open", "discuss", "done") and have a background color assigned.

In the cells in my column "status", I reference one of those cells and get the value of it, but not the formatting. It would be very nice to not only get the value, but also the formatting, so e.g. when I set the background color of "done" to green, all the cells referencing "done" would also become green.

This could be a further reference enhancement feature.
But with the normal reference you should only get the content but not the formatting. But one can maybe think about an advanced feature.

In the meantime did you already try the conditional formatting feature? This could probably also resolve your issue?

I haven´t tried it, but you´re right that could be a workaround. Though, it would be easier to have this as an advanced feature.
